WMCD, INC ANNOUNCES LEADERSHIP TRANSITION

Today, we're announcing that WMCD Board President Paul Federici has stepped down from his role as President, effective immediately.
Back in 2021, Paul led the initiative to form our first Steering Committee, Board of Directors, and Youth Advisory Council, who all joined together to work toward the bigger idea of hosting a 25-hour fundraising event that aims to inspire youth by donating to local charity recipients. Under Paul’s leadership, we’ve held five annual events, hosted over 200 student participants, and have raised $140,677 for five local charities.
In his time as our founding director, Paul showed unwavering dedication and commitment to our organization, mission, and the people who make up our incredible community. Since 2024, he has served as the President of our Board of Directors, an important role that oversees the most influential and strategic decisions that guide us forward.
This marks a new chapter for WMCD, and we cannot thank him enough for what he has done to support our growth. The time, energy, and effort he has put into our organization, and his perseverance as challenges arose, are deeply meaningful to the foundation of this organization.
As we look to the future, our Board has appointed Harry Monti as the new President of WMCD, and Jesse McMillan as the Vice President of WMCD.
Monti began working with WMCD in 2023, stepping into the director role after the 2024 charity all-nighter event. Monti brings years of executive leadership experience to the table, setting the organization up for years of success.
Joining Monti in leadership, McMillan, Principal of Westfield Middle School, will serve as the first Vice President of WMCD, supporting key initiatives, such as the rebranding of the organization and strategic school engagement.
This leadership transition represents WMCD’s ongoing commitment to promoting volunteerism and philanthropy for local youth across Western Massachusetts. As this next chapter begins, WMCD will continue to prioritize high-energy, community-driven initiatives, youth-aligned values, and hold philanthropy as the highest value.
WMCD thanks Westfield Bank, Firtion Adams Funeral Service, Window World of Western Mass and Westfield Public Schools for their sponsorship of this event and the organization. Next, WMCD Inc. will begin fundraising efforts for its next charity all-nighter to be held in early 2027.
WMCD Inc. is a Westfield-based nonprofit where youth engage in hands-on leadership opportunities that give back. Driven by a ‘Youth Team’ of students in grades 7-12, WMCD hosts annual 25-hour ‘all-nighters’ that support local charity recipients.
