ABOUT THE WMCD INC. YOUTH TEAM

Our youth team is an opportunity for middle and high school students to engage in hands-on, real-world experiences that translate to their workplaces and beyond.

We do our best to offer opportunities to our youth team that they cannot find in the classroom. This takes many forms, such as volunteering at our fundraising events, doing live television and radio appearances, presenting their ideas to the WMCD Board of Directors, interviewing local charities about the work they do, and more.

The team meets about twice each month, with at least one other opportunity to get involved. During meeting times, the youth team primarily plans our annual 25-hour events, called charity all-nighters.

“All of the youth team was so welcoming, and I felt like a part of the group immediately. I have learned about collaborating with others, sharing ideas, and brainstorming when making decisions about the events.” - Izabela Rutkowski

“Every single member does their best to make WMCD a warm and welcoming environment both among ourselves and our community. Raising money for charity doesn't just do good; it feels good.” - Aaron Boyd

We hope you’ll join us!
